About the Speaker


Chris Kasavich serves as a Director of Development at Baylor College of Medicine, and is responsible for both the annual giving program as well as managing a major gift portfolio.  Prior to joining Baylor College of Medicine, Chris served the Houston Symphony as Director of Corporate Relations. He began his career in fundraising at Rice University, serving in annual fund and major gift positions. 
Chris Kasavich earned his CFRE in 2009, and graduated with honors from the University of Houston Bauer College Of Business with an MBA in 2010.

Chris presents regularly through conferences with the Greater Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Rice Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership.  Chris is a great speaker and is back by popular demand at Development Dialogues.

About the Speaker


 
Maria Hargrave is the Director of Development and a Major Gift Officer for the Palmetto Health Foundation in Columbia, South Carolina where she has responsibility for raising major gifts, and managing the Foundation’s Hospital HEROS program. She serves as the Foundation’s liaison with the Cancer Center, the Children’s Hospital, and the Baptist Hospital Board of Directors. 

Hargrave manages the Foundation’s stewardship program for all Permanent and Quasi Endowments and Major Donor Gift Funds. Additionally, Maria manages naming opportunities for any capital campaigns, new renovation projects or substantial donor gifts.  Hargrave has more than 15 years of successful fundraising experience in health care and education, economic development, and health and human services.
